Should i put that i am an amateur keyboard player? the thing is that it's been over 4 years since the last time i played the keyboard, but i know i still got it. Thanks
ALSO
I'm curious to what people have put in the question on the AADSAS application. Please list what you put. it will be entertaining for sure.

You haven't played in 4 years? No, I would not put it. It wouldn't really help your application anyway.

im a fine arts major. graffiti artist. sculpture artist. trained sushi chef. manicure art artist and blah blah blah.
those are things i put
my strength is manual dexterity and dental experience.
PAT score of 25 proves my proficient manual dexterity and perceptual ability is not a lie

If you believe that playing a keyboard shows manual dexterity, then put it. It gives something for you to explain, something interesting perhaps to talk about during interviews. I enjoyed reading this section in applications and it would not hurt you to mention it. What I won't do however, is put an emphasis (atleast not a huge one, maybe a line) on it in the personal statement. Its my opinion.

I am a painter too. I do oil painting and pottery. I did photography in the past.

perceptual ability- yes
manual dexterity- no (unless you count the hour long session of moving that tiny mouse around)

I would put it - depending on your commitment to the activity while you were playing. For example I played a musical instrument for 10 yrs and taught privite lessions which required a great deal of manual dex. though I have not been actively playing in three years. I plan on including this despite the gap.

no it doesn't.

Honestly, why doesn't the american DAT have soap carving?

And to answer the OP, I put down piano as one of my activities. But I have actually passed Royal Conservatory of Music piano tests so its more than just a hobby.

Doesnt the ADA say by definition they test us on PAT because a good PAT score correlates to how well you perform in the laboratory? i swear i read it somewhere. i mean... as an artist i believe that. because im an artist/perfectionist and when i look at a slightest mistake in pigment of color or angle, it irritates me. i think that shows how sensitive my nerve endings are

Yea, I play piano, but I do not see how it would help. Not trying to troll, but it is similar to typing on the computer keyboard with exception to chords.

I will tell them about my painting, sculpting and training as a dental laboratory technician.

Painting translates to a knowledge of colors which is IMMENSELY important for shade matching a tooth and sometimes you may intraorally stain (mimics painting, dexterity wise) a crown before cementation, because the shade is off.

Sculpting demonstrates your ability to manipulate 3d objects, which is nice when you are trying to burnish amalgam fillings for instance. New cad/cam technology also relies heavily on 3d modeling and trust me, not every scan will yield a perfect design, so there is much tweaking before you mill the crown/bridge. It also helps in other areas, but I will not blab on about it.

Dental lab technician... well, that is obvious. I was primarily fixed/ceramics, so creating tooth anatomy is second nature to me now.

That's definitely an asset to the field of dentistry.

I like repairing computers and cell phones and actually did it as a job from my dorm room. Manage to make a small business that helped me pay for books and other things. I also have played guitar for the past couple years. My last oddball talent I put was being able to juggle rings and coins through my fingers like jack sparrow and christian bale did in the prestige.

hahaha that's super AWESOME!!!!!!

i can draw like davinci and my PAT was 20. soap carving was a legit method of testing manual dexterity. PAT is just logic puzzles and luck with some of those angle rankings wtf.

I completed both the American and Canadian DATs and in my American PS, would it be wise to mention that I did the Canadian DAT?

Would it also be beneficial to mention that I'm a studio musician (guitarist for 9 years, pianist for 14 years)?
