Wow, I just got an invite to interview at marquette! It came by email, they only interview on mond, tues, wed. I scheduled mine for oct 23rd you can schedule as early as oct 3rd. I had conflicts with other interviews and chose the 23rd.

beware flights are $900-ish for a nonstop from the western US!


Anybody else find a cheaper one that doesn't have a million stops? Or hear from Marquette at all.

AADSAS didn't get updated, I sent my main app in may, the secondary came shortly thereafter and I sent that in immediately also.

This is weird.. my app was sent out in july and I submitted the supp application about 3 weeks ago... but I am not getting any e mail.... hum..
I know my app was complete except the supp application... should I call them.? my file would be on hold?? does marquette still accept student w/o interview??

Me too, I'm assuming it takes 3-4 days for the rejection letter to get here in the mail 🙁

i cant believe that they rely purely email to send their interview offers....that cant be...i'm sure they send invites in the mail too, right? But yes, they do have my email address, so........................sounds like a Labowski day is in order😎

what else do they want..i have decent stats..shadowing 200+ hours, research for a year, and bunch of clubs and stuff ....i really dont understand..is my 21 not good anymore? my application was mailed out july 25th and they received my secondary by aug 20th..one of my dat scores isbelow a 20...i got a 16 on RC...is that it?? but when u check their stats its one of the lowest stats...seriously what the heck?😡

Breath in and slowly breath out.. You have great stats from anyones standards, just chill. Its not all about stats though, and I it's my impression that MUSD really consider that when choosing a canidate. When you are looking at the stats of those who have gotten interviews you can't see their LORs, personal statements and secondary application essays. This whole application process sucks. I feel you..

Don't dental schools take RC seriously? I mean I got a 20 on it but that was 70ish percentile....

I have been told by a few schools that RC, Bio, and Orgo are the three most important individual sections...most applicable to material in d-school

Really? Where did you find this written? I feel relieved knowing I can get a 14 on all my sciences, but as long as I get a 22 on RC I'm golden!! And to think I was stressing out about the PAT!! you know the part that tests your ability to see things in space and 3-dimensions, much like when you have a high speed and you are working on someone's mouth, I'm glad that RC is by FAR the most important.

Not to inflate people's egos, but someone actually did a correlation study on the DAT and NBDE I performance. RC was the most "reliable" predicter of performance on NBDE I. I haven't seen all the details of the study and if the data was correct, but I thought it interesting to bring up. 😎
