My wife and I will be applying for Dental School this summer. We just started considering the possibility of HPSP and military service. My question is:

What are the chances of us being stationed in the same location? I've heard 80-85% for the Join Spouse programs, but I would think this number would be higher if we are in the same service and are both dentists. Any one have any experience with this?

Thanks in Advance

The Navy would be able to arrange it but you'll have to talk to the recruiter about getting that included in your contract - they do try to put you in the same area but you'll not work in the same department, with the possible exception of an advanced education program. The chains of command will need to diverge somewhere.

Army is very good about keeping spouses together. Got to be the same service though - it is very difficult to coordinate assignments with other services.
