I just got an interview at Marshall and can't find any info on here about the school...any current or prospective students with any insight or info about the school?
Marshall is a great program. They are one of the best programs for rural medicine in the country. They definitely aren't a major metropolitan health care center, but that's not their goal. West Virginia needs excellent rural primary care providers and that's Marshall's mandate. That's certainly not to say you can't match into neurosurg though. I also liked that each class is only ~50 students. It makes for a family-like atmosphere. I also like Huntington... I lived there for several months.
hi there--
I'm an MS-2 at Marshall. It's a very small school, hence the lack of info on SDN. We are right in the middle of block exams, so I can't write a long response now. But, I'd be happy to give you whatever info you want towards the end of the week email me at [email protected].
