Maryland Class of 2029 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Just got off the phone with admissions. Whoever said after the first week of April = waitlist, apparently it’s not true, they accept till around end of April until the class is completely full. The person on the phone said the class is still not full, there is no schedule as to when they receive/send out acceptances (meaning it’s NOT like every Thursday/Friday they do it). He said the committee meets on their own time and randomly gives admissions a list of names to send offers too and they do it when they get the chance. He also said they haven’t sent out offers recently because the committee hasn’t brought down any names yet. Hope this calms everyone’s nerves.

Good morning, as for as the group chat im assuming you are talking about groupme. The school sent out an email to accepted students with a link to join so that would explain the jump you might be referring to!

Super weird cuz the person I revived email from said acceptances usually stop after the beginning of April. Who honestly knows lol, it all seems random at this point. Ppl from like interviews 7 months ago acceptances and then few weeks later ppl who just interviewed a month ago get accepted. It’s all random.

Right, it feels super random. He told me that “we can’t just stop sending acceptances after the first week of April because nobody said the class would be full by then, we only stop once the class is full and currently it’s not full” it upsets me that nobody can give us a final answer. Can someone else reach out and let us know what they say LOL

Right? It’s weird. Frustrating because I’m working with a short timeline with my lease coming up, etc. bet a lot of students are dealing with similar stuff around this time.

I assuming the class is not full bc the offers that were sent out haven’t been accepted by the students yet. So if they decline their seats, it will be offered to others on waiting list.
