Do you think master levels clinicians such as LPCs or LCSWs will be replaced by Psychiatrist Psych nurse practitioners since they have the ability to do psychotherapy AND diagnose?

I personally don't know many psych NPs who are actually trained in psychotherapy or perform it (beyond "supportive therapy") on a regular basis. Beyond that, a psych NP is unlikely to ever do any amount of case management-type work.

Also, masters-level folks can often diagnose mental illness, depending on state licensing regulations.

Edit: And, as erg mentioned below, NPs are more expensive.

No.
1. I never met an NP that knows anything about therapy beyond "supportive counseling."

2. They cost more.

3. They cost more.
