Hi, I am a bit rusted as I took step 2 two and a half years ago (and step 1 in 2005). I plan to take step 3 in the next few months. I received advice to go through the Kaplan "Master the Boards" and then do USMLE World questions to prepare for step 3. Is this the advice for someone who just finished the step 2 CK or recently finished their studies or will this advice be for someone in my position also (I did ok enough on step 2, but is nevertheless rusted).

Thanks

MTB and UW should be enough. Are you currently a resident? If not, you may want to supplement you studying with another source. Some people have said they use Kaplan Step 2 books for reviewing also. You may want to consider that.

i'm using that combo right now, seems weak.
obviously there are a lot of factors to what is enuff, ie what u already know, what kinda score you want etc...find anything better than uw/mtb let us know

I only need to pass, but becuase I've been out of medicine for 2 years (since writing my step2 ck), I feel I am quite rusted. I am a resident and will have very little time to study and was hoping to hear that the course I'm heading on is enough.

Thank you for your replies.
