I am planning to apply this cycle but I would like to know if I apply to a masters program and complete one semester and update my stats, will that help?

-oGPA: 3.3
-sGPA: 3.24
-Retaking the DAT soon

Is it too late to apply to a Masters program? Some school's deadline isn't until July 31st.

I think that it will still help to apply even if it is a little late because your GPA is slightly lower than the averages of people that get accepted to dental school. That also depends on your scores of your DAT. However, since you said you are going to retake it, try to aim for high DAT scores if you don't want to do the master program.

I am working hard for the high DAT but do you think I even stand a little chance?

I think it will depend on the schools that you apply for. Try to do some research on them or even call to ask for their advice.

Will do! BTW is there an excel or anything that is accurate to calculate GPA?

I don't have one because my school's system automatically calculates it out for me. I think you can probably find one if you just search it up.

If you can’t do a masters you should consider taking post-bacc upper level sciences (it will likely be much cheaper too).

Do you think an informal post-bacc would be okay? I can bring my sGPA to a 3.3 before cycle opens up

Yes it would be, just make sure to take a strong schedule and do well to show you can handle a dental school curriculum.

Sure I will do that! Thank you! So you don't think I should apply to masters meanwhile?
