Can anyone with this degree or currently pursuing it give some more details?

Is the degree worth it? What is the course work? What does the research involve? etc.

A person in my class did it. You have to find a faculty first in the CLEAR division that is doing research in wound healing. Then in your 2nd year of Pod school, you apply to this program (granted you have a faculty ready to help with the thesis and the research). If you get accepted (it is very competitive) then you start the 5-day program in the UK in the middle of 2nd year and then 3rd year. The rest of the classes is online (might change in the future) and then there is also the master's thesis. I think its a good opportunity if you are interested in doing wound care work in the future but it requires a lot of work from the regular DPM curriculum.

Although you can do something similar after residency like a fellowship in wound care.

That said, you will need at least a 3.5 GPA in your 2nd year to be eligible for the application (requirements might change when you apply). Having a project topic in mind with help from a faculty when applying can help. If are a current student talk to the dean about this end of your first year, if you're a future student then work hard and get that GPA close to 4.0 and apply during 2nd year.

Is Scholl the only option for something like this? I'm going to Kent next year and obviously I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here but it sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Wound care is not that hard. Dont do it. You will get a doctorate in a field that is heavy in wound care. Study to be a doctor first. Masters is not worth it.

1) Sharp debridement
2) Offload wound (sometimes compress)
3) Free of infection
4) Ensure blood flow is adequate
5) Diabetes control.

If you do the above wounds heal.

Just saved you 30+k in tuition.

When you're done with DPM school and you really want to pursue wound care you could get a certified wound specialist certificate which is cheaper and probable just as not useful.

I second this.
