I'm currently working on my Master's and have earned a 3.70 gpa so far. My undergrad GPA was a 3.37 and I hadn't started on my Master's when I turned in my primary application. I was wondering if I am able to update my file with my current graduate transcripts or if I can just mention it during the interview. Any information is appreciated.

Many thanks! :hardy:

I am sure the adcoms of the schools that you are interviewing at will be more than receptive if you were to send documentation updating your file at their respective schools. I know that at TUCOM, "until action is taken reguarding your application, [they] will accept updates."

The question now becomes if your interviewers will actually get the documents that you send and/or have a chance to review them before your interview. Just to cover all your bases, you could send updated info to the adcoms of the schools that you are applying to, but also bring copies of those same documents and present them at your interview..

Good luck!

Forensic Chick,

Your gradschool GPA will be looked upon extremely favorably, and I strongly recommend you get them your scores. It is very easy to do. Have your updated transcript mailed to AACOMAS, immediately. Don't waste any time. AACOMAS will take at least a month to process it. You don't need to call AACOMAS or anything. They'll get your transcript and forward it on to the schools with the updated credits.

I also think you should have your transcripts sent to every school you applied to, or at least every school you plan on attending if accepted. (That may be all of them). Why? Because you send the schools your gradschool transcript. You write them a letter explaining that you want to show them your progress, but you fear AACOMAS is too slow. They will review your official transcript just as if it was from AACOMAS, and you'll get their attention as well.

Don't wait around on this chick, you've got firepower, and you've got to bring it to the front lines.

Hi, Forensic Chick.

This is a bit off topic, but what are you getting a Master's degree in?

Brian,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have been reading your posts and I am too in your shoes. However, I would give my left kidney, and my gallbladder to get into Touro. I received a post card in the mail Friday saying my file was complete -- so I'm looking forward to receiving a interview invite. I only applied to three schools, so I am very anxious for the continuation of the process.

Wish Upon A Star,
Absoultely awesome advice. I will be following it exactly. It seems like you might have done this before 🙂 I appreciate the encouragement.

It Never Ends,
I am earning my Master's in Forensic Science. I will graduate in June (thankfully).

Thanks again for your help and I'll be sure to update you on the outcome of the graduate transcripts! :hardy:
