Not sure of the average but as a few others have mentioned it was only 51 this year. I'm assuming this will be trending down in upcoming years (though this is only conjecture), based on the upped med school enrollment.

On a related note this makes me somewhat nervous for Friday, there seemed to be so many awesome applicants this year!
