Here is the latest speciality match info from the 2008 match from the NRMP. Remember, there is only 2 years of data from the match.

According to the data from 2008, there were a total of 622 applicants for a total of 325 spots in the match. Remember, that there were a minority of the programs who did not participate in the match and many programs did not place all of their spots in the match either.
