This waiting for the match thing is killing me. Can anyone hazard a guess at what the following statements mean from program directors? "You were well liked by our staff, we hope we can recruit you to our program." And, "You made a very good impression here."

Yeah standard generic answer. Programs are more and more secretive about how they feel about candidates. I think many years of getting burnt by folks who say they "absolutely positively will be ranking you number one" make them jaded.

Hang in there just a few more days.
