M3, top 50 medical school.
At my school, it's very hard to honor. Few honors are given out.
My concern is this-if I have no honors, but instead mostly HP's and 1-2 P's, 240 Step Score, 3 leadership roles, maybe 3 pubs and 3 posters (but not in Neuro)...am I still safe to match into Neuro? At this point it's my 3rd or 4th choice after Rads and OB-but keeping all options open
I'm not trolling; rather, the difficulty in attaining Honors is stressing me.

No chance at MG or UCSF with that pathetic clinical performance.

Also, no research in Neuro? You’re in the danger zone with the majority of PDs thinking you’re just applying to Neuro as a backup.

If you can get honors in neuro, that’s really the biggest thing in terms of honors. Research in neuro would also be a plus, but not needed just to match.

What is MG?
Also, I never said I'm applying to UCSF or any particular program, this is more in general

Your probability of matching in neurology is merely 95%. See page 122.
These people are just trolling you.

The real question here is whether or not you look good in a bowtie. Be sure to wear one in your headshot because wearing one of those "normie" ties will get you screened out quicker than anything else.

No. Some got 0 or 1 honors and interviewed everywhere. Neuro is overall not that competitive.
This is so helpful to know. I'll still try my best, but just nice to keep in the back of my mind in case things don't go well. Thanks!

Is research (in any field) a major player in matching into Neuro? Can someone who really doesn't love research still be competitive for mid-tier or low-tier programs?
