For anyone who has insight into the boards, what portion of material would you say came from 1st year and what portion came from 2nd year? Are there straight up basic science questions? Do I need to go back and review cellular junctions? Or is it mostly clinical? Thanks.

Lots of Pathophysiology, Pharm, micro, anatomy, neuro and OMM.

Very little histo, histopath, straight physio

The questions are very vignette-based and 2nd to 3rd order. 1st order factoids are banned.

How do I know this? I write for NBOME, and have taken COMLEX several times,.

Do lots of COMAT questions, and Uworld.

You simply can't break the content down into X % 1st year and Y % 2nd year...you need both.

Like goro said, it's mostly path, meds, micro, statistics, and omm.

The key to a high score is a lot of practice questions. I'm talking thousands. I got a 250+ on the usmle and a 600+ on comlex 1/2/3.
