I'm just a pre-med, but I'm wondering what kind of math radiation oncologists do (if at all). I would guess that dosimetry has some math involved, and I'm very interested in quantitative problem solving (loved Physical Chemistry). Is radiation oncology more math heavy than other specialties? Radiation therapy is an application of physics after all...

Not at all difficult. Mostly algebra and simple geometry with occasional trig. The truly complex math is more the realm of PhD level physicists.

This answers my question - thanks a lot!
