Hi
I am interested in Nursing in UCC as Mature student and would like some advice on how to go about it. I have been on various websites including nursingcareers.ie, however, some personal views would be appreciated.

I am 24 year old single mum. My background is in property and I have a degree from the UK. I have completed a first aid course, medical secretary course and have experience looking after a terminally ill oncology patient. As a result I have developed an interest for the medical industry and would like to study nursing.

I don't have a science subject in leaving cert, so would I need to do this first? Also I'm just wondering on how people financially go back as mature full time students? Would I need to declare my previous degree

any advice would be most appreciated

thanks

This forum is for those interested in pursuing a MD degree and becoming a physician. Very few the member have worked as nurses here. You are, therefore, much more likely to get sarcastic responses and repetitive internet meme images than useful advice.

I suggest looking for a nursing-specific forum and contacting local nursing schools. Good luck with your application process!
