Maximum # of Schools allowed on FAFSA?

Hi Kids ,

So if I remember correctly from all those thorough financial aid presentations at interviews, I believe it was stated that we can submit the FAFSA for up to 6 schools. Is this accurate to anyone? Please correct me if I was misinformed, but it seems like on other threads some people have gotten more than 6 financial packages. Does this imply that you can still get a financial aid package from a school even if you don't submit the FAFSA?

I have more than 6 acceptances and a couple of waitlists that I would still want to consider, so am I now forced to withdraw from some schools and narrow it down to 6 for financial aid consideration?

Any insight is much appreciated...

i'm pretty sure you can submit the FAFSA to however many schools you need

I believe it is ten schools at a time. Once the schools process your information, you can then replace them with ten new ones.

Ah ok...so I imagine then that schools were notify you when they're processed before the deadline? (so you have enough time to replace the original ten schools with new ones..?)

You will be notified once processed yes. I am not sure if it is from the schools or if it is from FAFSA.
