if you increase the temperature on the maxwell distribution plot, the plot decreases along the y-axis and increases along the x-axis.
but what happens if you decrease the temperature?

does it increase along the y-axis and decrease along the x-axis????

Yea, i would think so. If temperature increases, kinetic energy increases as well. And if temperature were to decrease, the kinetic energy would also decrease.

exactly.🙂 the distribution would get narrower and shift to the left.
