Am I the only one who thought the day sucked. I did not hear a thing. Do a lot of people hear that day, or do the acceptances trickle down so to speak from the May 15th deadline.

I think it's a lot like the turn of the millenium and computers....

A lot of hype...but no explosions 🙂

Nada Nada Nada for me!!!!
It sucked!!!

I put up an extra box to make room for the pouring in of acceptance letters. Instead I only got an ad for AT&T broad band <img src="http://a256.g.akamai.net/7/256/5527/V001/forums.fanhome.com/images/smilies/spammers1.gif" alt=" - " />

Nothing new for me. I think they are going to start pulling people off soon. At least now they have room.

I feel like a lazy piece of ****. I hope I get an acceptance.

So you think my trickle down theory will occur over the next few weeks. To take a Reaganesc approach.

there should be a surge between today and june 15th while letters are sent and etc.

Hero:

I like your Pinky and the Brain signature style 🙂 haha

yah hero, that pinky & the brain style sig is dope

Hey, UCSFallthway, sup?
When do people on the high priority list hear back from Admissions, do you know?

are you pretty much in if you are in the high priority?

I assume there is a low and mid priority and on slow years there'll be a few from the mid. Only on very slow years will thos on the low priority be admitted.

Hero, "high priority" is the euphemism used by UCSF for their waitlist; i don't think there's any other type of "priority".

This is just like UCSD uses the term "acceptable pool" when clearly not everyone is gonna be accepted.

...ambiguous terms used to keep us hanging around for all these months.

ahh these rattus birthed out of wedlock (rat bastards) ought not to use such euphemistic terms to mislead us.

I have been praying that I get off the waitlist at UCLA in the last couple of days, but I now realize that it's gonna be especially difficult given that I didn't get an interview.

It's definetly rough...

Trickle Trickle Trickle.

Im not counting on hearing anything for at least a week or 2.

If so many schools have a ranked waitlist, why can't they just open up a letter stating that someone is withdrawing, and send an acceptance e-mail out to those of us waiting? Do you think they hold off so that the financial aid people can keep up? Especially since you have to make a quicker decision if you are accepted after May 15th...

I must say, May 15th was pretty much the most hyped and thus most boring and disappointing day of the year thus far. Waitlists suck! 😡

Yeah, May 15th sucked for me too, but probably not for the same reasons why some of you guys say it sucks. Don't worry. Waitlists continue to move even past May 15th (believe it or not). If you don't happen to get in by the time Orientation starts at most programs, choose one, show up on the first day and see if there's a spot open (there may be one or two or three). It happens MUCH MORE often than you might think.

Anyway, going off topic for just a bit: Does anyone know if Patch Adams is still as anti-establishment as the movie portrays him? I think in this day and age of medicine, it's unecessary to have his kind of attitude that the establishment is poor at medical care.

wahooo!!!! i really love the wait!!!!
and I love the fact that they interviewed me in January and decided to kill me ever-so-slowly. Lovable, this is just one lovable process.

And you know what? I think when they said May 15th, they meant "May 15th of next year"...
doesn't it all make sense now?

Patch Adams mooned everyone at the UCSD all-campus commencement ceremonies last year. He single-handedly ended the all-campus graduation at UCSD indefinitely. Now for our graduation speakers we get the amazing...college deans! I'd say he's still pretty anti-establishment. And yes, I am bitter.

None, r u 4 real? 😀

I heard him speak here at Brown last month, so I can probably answer your question either way.

tommy, how about you answer the question from both perspectives. I am very curious about this character.
