Congratulations Phoenix!!!

I just finished my 1st year at Mayo and it has been quite a ride. Can't wait to welcome you and the rest to MMS. This place does not seize to amaze me, and I hope that all of you feel the same way when you start to experience it.

Like I said at the beginning of this cycle to some of you... NEVER GIVE UP!!

Congrats again! You are the Melissainsd of your class... hehe

She was my hero last year. I'm ridiculously honored to get the "MelissainSD award" this year! And hey, I'll get to meet the legend in person! 🙂

Phoenix, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you!! I've been in and out of this thread over time and have been rooting for you. Can't wait to meet you in July!

I can't wait to meet you and Shadow as well! I know I'm supposed to be enjoying my last month before med school, but secretly I wish we were closer to July 21st right now.... Part of me feels like I'm still dreaming, and the other part feels like I'm in circling above waiting for a runway to clear.

So the class is currently full now, however, those of us on the wait list will still be remained until the day before class begins.

this means more waiting...just with less hopes up!

But who knows...

She was really happy for me. She's an incredibly nice person actually, and I appreciated that she took the time to read my personal statement and give me application advice. I know she thought she was giving me the most realistic advice she could. Honestly, I still can't believe that I got in myself! Thus I'll always suggest people apply to their dream school no matter how much of a reach it is. This whole process is so unpredictable - you just never know. 🙂

Wow, this thread was probably the most entertaining thing I've seen in a while, haha! Congratulations to everyone on any acceptances and even people who got anywhere in the process, I and others are still pretty envious!

I really wish I would have followed this during its heyday, but I suppose I might be a part of it this year, huh? I was turned onto this thread after Phoenix's great support and my subsequent evolving interest in Mayo (and how exponentially it has grown!).

The small-class emphasis and the institution's apparent recognition of the importance of community building and rest have really inspired me to apply. As some of you may have read already (Phoenix), coming from a small private university here in Minnesota, I've really come to thrive on and fully appreciate the small class ideals and emphasis on faculty-student interaction.

Again, congratulations to everyone on the process, and here's to hoping I'll be able to meet some of you next year!... Or the next year!

Bangladesh - wow, sounds like an amazing trip. And thanks for the congrats - it was a wild ride indeed.
