Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale?

The location is great. Not impressed with their neurology program. There are better programs out there.

Mayo doesn't have locations that aren't swanky. It's part of the brand. All the Mayo's are competitive but a big part of the draw for the non-flagship locations is the name, pretty location, and facilities. Don't assume that people will see "Mayo" and stop reading whatever comes next -- not all are created equal and people know that. But it is not a "bad" program per se.

Mayo Jax was great. Beautiful spot. If you're doing the "Swank Circuit" of nicer private-hospital-affiliated programs, Houston Methodist, Cleveland, Mayo, Barrow, are all worth checking out. Can't emphasize the importance of NOT sticking to name-brand universities. Money talks and feeds. I really don't know how any residency program can function without daily free pharmaceutical lunches.
