I've been looking for a good pair of shoes for standing all day long and stumbled upon these on Zappos. They are absurdly expensive, but the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. I work retail and tend to stand for 8+ hours a day. With back and neck problems since HS, I'm now willing to spend the money if they are worth it.

Mbt are good. I see them alot in the doctors side of things and they are raved on in most instances other than times you actually have to run. Surgeons like them because you can stand for many hours and you can rock back and forth and it keeps the blood flowing and reminds you not to lock your knees. The sketchers you see are mostly a knock off of the MBT's because theyve been around a while and are higher quality.

For me, though, they didnt work that well to which I contribute the fault of my bad knees from sports and a couple of operations. What works best for me are flat shoes with strong arch support and strong heel support. I tend to choose to invest in Nike shox as they have a firm support in both key areas; in addition to those shoes, sof sole supports worked well, but then I tried "The Walking Company's" custom fit soles and got the silver edition with arch and memory foam and I have absolutely no pain ever!

I went from being a Pharmacy Tech doing 6-8 hours shifts to now I am car salesmen where I walk asphalt in 10-12 hour shifts and sit down maybe 15 minutes every 1-2 hours. My knees and lower back have never felt better and when I get off, my knees are actually only slightly swollen vs being canelopes haha.

I've worn z-coils and they are great, but they are fugly and everybody will ask you if you are trying to increase your vertical jump! I wear MBTs now and they are great too, they aren't as goofy looking and they get the job done. My feet, knees, and back swear by it. The only downside is it may take a few weeks for your body to get used to them.

and MBTs don't look fugly to you? 😕

The MBTs on that site don't seem to be THAT expensive, most of them are the ballpark of any Nike or Reebok sneaker I've ever worn. Although it seems that they range from $99-260, without a lot of explanation in the differences. Given they all have the unique shape, I guess they're all supposed to be good for hours of standing. Which shoes, specifically, has anyone worn and liked?

Those shoes are extremely bulky and heavy very uncomfortable....and very very very very UGLY. I have no idea why some people love those. Well, unless you are a very short person, it would help you to look a bit taller....

i have the all black MBTs so they aren't thaat ugly. And they actually help my posture due to their design. plus the z-coils have the obvious industrial coil that make the MBTs just a little more desirable.

If it is stupid and it works then it isn't stupid.

I have a pharmacist and a tech with MBT's and they complain about thier back and feet all the time.

Since I have had my Z-Coils I have had zero back and leg pain.

Z-coin, MBT, blah blah blah...all are scams! Nothing would beat my diesel shoes....so soft, so comfortable....though wearing them would make me 1cm taller (not like 3 inches taller from Z-coin or MBT)...but who cares...

Tried these and in my opinion they're awful for standing. As for walking, I could see how they could be a good option. Anyone have any other suggestions? I've heard Cole Haan with Nike Air bottoms work well. Anyone tried those?
