Taken the MCAT 3 times, but my first score was the best.

25 R 9 BS / 8 VR / 8 PS

I just got my results back from my 6/16 (third time taking) MCAT. Not as good as the first time and the same as the second time. Now, do DO schools only look at the highest score and not look at the rest of the scores or will they take account the previous scores? I know they will take account that I have taken it 3 times, but I just wanted to know. Don't troll on why my first time was the best.

Some will look at highest, some most recent, some all three averaged. Most will only look at MCATs within the past 2 or 3 years.

that being said, i am sure they are going to look at your MCATs are really question it. Why didn't you learn from your mistakes?

Ouer school looks at the avg. Sometimes people just hit a plateau and that's it. So just apply now and see what turns up.

To answer your question: they will see all three, and given the progression they will 'count' all 3 when looking at your app. If you went up, then many schools will take the highest. If you did well and then bombed a retake most would understand.

However, you got a balanced 25, followed by not one but two lower scores. It could be easily argued the 22 or 23 you got twice is the most valid. Understand that may be a major hindrance to getting accepted as there are going to be a lot of worries about passing COMLEX.

I wish you the best, but your score is going to be a hurdle.
