Does anyone know if schools will take different sub scores from different exams. I did well on the PS section last June, but the one on 5/22/10 seemed awful. Anyone ever heard of a school taking a PS from last year and a BS and VR from this year to get a overall composite. I seriously don't want to take this awful exam again....

Depending on the school, some will average the section scores over multiple takes, some will take the best section score each time, some will take the most recent, some will take the highest composite score, some take the lowest.

You'll really have to ask the school, but for what you're asking, I don't know. How different were the scores?

The medical college I went to would take the best score from each sub-section to produce their overall MCAT score. This was the score used for the screening process and to assign a numerical value to students based on their GPA and MCAT results. However, during the interview we reviewed all of the raw MCAT results.

How you MCAT will be viewed is very school dependent. I believe there is thread or link on SDN that has a listing of several programs and how they utilize you MCAT results; try searching the MCAT section of SDN for this information.

I just felt like I was put through a blender after that PS section. I'm going to call the school tomorrow. Thanks for the link!
