I am planning on applying to medical school this upcoming cycle. I just received my MCAT scores, and I was extremely shocked to discover that I received a 6 in Verbal Reasoning, although I had received 11 in both Biological and Physical Sciences. First of all, how badly will my 6 look if I have pretty good English/personal statements and a 3.83 GPA? So is it even possible to be accepted ANYWHERE with a 6?
And if I score better on the new 2015 MCAT, will my verbal reasoning score be overlooked? How will the new scores be compared with my old ones, like my PS and BS scores? Also, since I want to submit my application as early as possible, within the first two weeks of June, when is the latest I can take the new MCAT so that my scores will be considered with my application EARLY? In other words, when does begin the application review process? And what does it mean when applications are "verified"?
I also have to take spring quarter and summer classes so I cant binge study for the new MCAT.
Thanks guys!
