Hey guys,

I was wondering whether any of you had any comments on MCAT-prep Audio tapes? I ran a search on "audio tapes," and ran across one person who had something to say about them...has anybody else here tried 'em, and willing to share his/her experiences? I'm thinking about buying them to prep for April. I know that visual learning is important, too, but I thought this might be an interesting supplement to in-class Kaplan. Your thoughts?

Thanks guys,
Faith

Faith,
I used the MCAT Audio Tapes for the August MCAT and they helped me to relearn the info. I used them on my way to and from work, when I exercised, or anytime I thought I could concentrate on them. The biggest thing tht helped me when using them though was when I actually had time, I sat down and took notes, like I would in lecture, from them! WOW, that really helped!!! I then recopied my notes and would listen to the tapes while reading the notes. My scores went up a lot from the April test to August and I think the tapes helped. I took Kaplan in April and hated it. I liked the Examkrackers books much better. You may want to search for info under "Kaplan" on this site because there was a lot of debate earlier this year about which courses to take. Good luck and let me know if you have more questions!! 🙂
