Hello all! I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who first took a Kaplan prep course, did not do well on the MCAT, and then took an Altius prep course and then saw significant improvement.

I first took the Kaplan course for the old MCAT and did not do well twice (improved, but not enough). I wish to take another course that pertains to the new MCAT, and I have heard a lot of good things about Altius.

Thank you! 🙂

Just so you know, Kaplan's 2015 MCAT course is completely different from the old one.

From what I've gathered, getting a good MCAT score is about identifying your weaknesses and adjusting appropriately. A significant portion is test taking ability. Every test prep company has persons with success stories, but that may not be due to the curriculum they were put through. Remember, it is a business for these companies.

You need to figure out what works best for you. There are plenty of people who get 30+ without using a prep course at all.

I have beem doing alot of research on the best prep course
and it comes down to TBR and altuis!!
does anyone have any other advice/info on them!!

I took Altius this summer. it's just a lot of money for glorified content review.

Everyone is different but why do you feel like you need a prep course?
