Ok so I just got my 2nd MCAT score and I upgraded my 31 O to a 32 Q, so I should be somewhat happy right?
Well here is the rest of the story. My first exam I got a 9 P 8 V 14 B (31). Not a bad score, but I knew I could do better in Physics and possibly verbal (I was really nervous during the exam). Since I took my 1st exam late in the year I had to sign up for a 2nd exam without knowing the scores to my first exam. After finding out my scores 4 days before taking my second exam I decided to take because I thought that I could do better if I was less nervous taking the the exam again. So I took the second exam and got a 12 P 6 V 14 B (32). My major problem is my verbal. I have heard that 8 is the lowest score schools will even look at someone, and below that you are in serious jeopardy. I know my overall score is decent, but I am really worried about my verbal, I am wondering if it will keep me out of Medical school. I have a good GPA (3.95) and decent EC's. I am wondering If i should take the test again though? I really really have a problem with verbal, and I basically get some random score between 7 - 10 depending on how lucky I am. I really don't want to take the test a third time but am not sure if I can get into Med School without it. Do Med Schools take best scores from each section? Do they look at your most recent score? do they average? any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
