The CPME doesnt have the authority to mandate a test. It is up to the individual schools. As you can tell from these forums, a few unnamed schools have carved out quite a niche by accepting the DAT. I don't see any reason they would change.

All schools accept MCAT
Temple and NYCPM accept DAT
Temple accepts GRE
No idea, but I am sure it coincided with the very small classes of 2010-11. This whole applicant/ residency shortage/overage is cyclical.Do you know why they started accepting the DAT to begin with? I'm curious.
