The MCAT is freaking me out. What is the absolute minimum that I need to get in?

3.88 cGPA
3.95 sGPA
Lots of healthcare experience, shadowing, research, etc.

I am going to shoot for a 30, but I want to know what I NEED to get by.

What you NEED is to stay chill, study, and see what happens. No one can tell you your future.

Why set your sights at the minimum? The MCAT is not that bad. Take the free AAMC FL and see how you do. Go from there.

The avg. MCAT score for an accepted is 32. For the top schools, it's closer to 36. Thus, anything
30 and you'll get in somewhere to an MD program. For DO schools, aim for high 20s.

Yeah...relax. Aim for the best you can do. If you want to go MD, I made sure my AAMC average was 30+ before taking it. I scored my average and got in.

I am actually interested in podiatry school the most, but I am considering the DO route. MD isn't really an option. What MCAT are we talking for DO admission with my GPA?

Thanks

I jsut Googled this, and it appears the average MCAT for podiatry is in the low 20s. Western's average was 22.

For DO, you'll want at least mid-high 20s.
