Could I get away with just using mcat prep books for physics 2 content or do I need to take the class? Im asking because I only have space in my schedule for either physics 2 or cell bio and I need to choose which one to take before the mcat.

Agreed with above poster. I haven't taken physics 2 and found the material in the prep books to be not too difficult to self-teach. Also, I think cell bio is far more relevant and appears on many MCAT tested disciplines, while physics 2 probably encompasses fairly few questions on the exam.

Oddly enough, my PS section was PACKED with Physics 2 though everyone else I've ever spoken with had very, very little Physics- let alone Physics 2. Will agree with @fldoctorgirl: use the prep books and don't sweat not having taken the class yet.
