Hi I'm still studying for the mcat but can someone tell me if on the mcat, you will be given a formula sheet??? Or are the formulas given in the mcat passages?????

no formula sheet, just a periodic table.
sometimes they give you formulas in the passage sometimes they dont

No formula sheet. Some formulas are given in the passages. Some you have to know.

Theres like a million physics formulas...and just like someone said, some are given and some arent. In a practice kaplan test the formulas for linear motion and acceleration and velocity werent given.

Did you all really go thru the trouble of trying to memorize a lot of formulas for physics?

I think they should just give you the formulas for the physics section becuase after all thats only half the battle. The other half is applying it.

Yep, you have to memorize the formulas its just part of life. It sucks but its just what you have to do. Along with the basic linear motion formulas, you have to know everything from wave formula (like doplar stuff), fluid formula, momentum formula, etc. etc.

its not so bad ..it comes bk fast if u have had the class
and many of the formulas interconvert so its easy to rationalize them
it sucked at 1st but now i am ok with it/ dealing with it
...my fav formula is E=hf i feel like it applies to >34.97% of the physics Qs and all the photon Qs ..

It seems daunting at first, but after you go through a review and organize, it's not too bad.

Are you sitting for the August MCAT?
