    Its seems as though all these prep courses depend on the instructors. How do you find out about whether the instructors are good or not?

    Unfortunately you can't. At least not with the big companies like Kaplan or TPR.

    They are all screened quite well though, with about a month of training before they actually start teaching.

    You can't really too well unfortunately, try to ask around in friend groups for people who have taken the classes locally and see how their experience was. Unfortunately you won't necessarily even have the same teachers they had (even if you were to take it in the same time period) due to staffing and turnover.
