Hi, so I took the MCAT in april got a total preliminary % of 42-52 :/
Physics/chem 28-44%
verbal 77-92%
bio 28-44%
psych 44-64 %
So I am thinking I should retake, but I want to apply this cycle. Now, what is the latest date I can take the MCAT again and still be okay for the cycle? Can I submit my primary with the scores I have now and then retake the mcat june 20th and will they use my new scores?
I am kind of confused about this as my pre health advisor said if I retake the MCAT it would only be for next cycle if I submit my app on june 3rd(which I want to do because I heard its better)
my gpa is 3.7 with a strong upward trend

thanks

Your pre-health advisor is a little off the mark. You'll be more than fine if you retake on June 20th.

Does anyone know what scores (subsection and overall) correspond with the percentiles?? I am curious about what score would be ~70-75%.

Be very careful applying with a poor MCAT. Scoring poorly once is already one ding, but if for some reason you dont score well on your retake, you will end up waiting a cycle and even if you score well on the third time around you will have 2 subpar scores and be listed as a re-applicant. If you want to get your app verified ASAP with a pending MCAT, apply to one throw away school, with your PS, GPA, etc so your application can be verified and then apply to the schools you actually want to after you get your MCAT.

No one has any clue except AAMC. Your only option to get any sort of relevant information is to compare the scores of those who took the official AAMC practice test and their preliminary percentiles, and that is a poor way of doing it as there is heavy selection bias and a limited number of people, not to mention this is SDN with a already overly- neurotic member base.
