I was wondering when NSU is accepting the MCAT till? I was going to take it this year but changed my mind and will be taking it in Jan. 2008. I look at their website and it didnt mention anything about it. Does anyone have a clue till when they are accepting it till? THANKS

This is the kind of question that warrants a call to the admissions office. You should definitely call and ask. Find out from the school directly.

FWIW, as an aside, even if the school did actually accept such a late test date, I think it is likely toward your advantage to not wait until the last possible date to take it. If you can be ready to take it earlier, I would recommend it.

I thought I was but Im not and I just paid for the Kaplan course starting in September for the JAN. Mcat. If i do well I plan on applying late since I have two great LOR from DO's that teach there. If I dont get in I just apply in the summer. Im just trying to beat a year more of waiting.

NSU will not accept, from their website:

The applicant must mail the following materials to AACOMAS by January 15:

* Completed and approved AACOMAS application
* An official transcript from the Registrar of each college or university attended. This must be mailed directly to AACOMAS by the college or university.
* MCAT scores

Although maybe they make exceptions? I doubt it. Has anyone found a school that will accept the Jan scores? I have seen some that will allow updating your file but that's about it.

Well that sucks...But I'll stop by tmw and talk to them in person and double check. I'll will let you guys know.

I highly doubt they'll make exceptions. If you really want to apply this cycle you need one score so register for a Sept. MCAT at the latest. Send in that score, and take the January one later to show improvement/move off wait-lists etc.
