I haven't paid much attention to the application dates until a recent dilemma came up. I was planning on taking the 4/28 but now I think the 5/12 would be better for me. If I submit my AACOMAS primary on 6/1, won't they still be verifying while my MCAT score gets released? Would I be at any disadvantage compared to someone who had their MCAT score in by a 6/1 primary submission. Thanks

Good to see you back on SDN, fellow adcom. 😉

You'll be fine. Sending your MCAT scores only takes a few days, so if you receive your scores back around 6/12, they should receive the scores around 6/20. This is about the time your primary will be verified if you submit AACOMAS on 6/1. So everything will be verified around the same time. And if there is a delay between MCAT/primary verification... it shouldn't be long at all.

You're fine. Schools won't even get your application until June 20th or so at the earliest.

I go in spurts here on SDN.

Thanks for the replies. My next spurt shall be when the new underdog thread opens for this coming season!

I am also signed up for the 4/28 date... if I need more time for preparation, is it OK to push the date back to 5/12. Of course, that's either dead week or finals week.

Yeah, why wouldn't it be? All your stuff will still be on time... just make sure to send in your primary ASAP.

Although, taking the MCAT during finals week is a bit much... but if you feel you can do it, more power to ya. 👍
