Dr. Mad Props said:How common is it for people to retake the MCAT?
SxyMD said:Are you thinking about a retake? What are your stats?
MedSchoolGirl! said:I'm kind of having this problem too. I want to take this April, but I'm afraid I won't be prepared enough and if I do poorly I will have to scramble and retake in Aug. And then my apps will go out late, and then I'll get rejected everywhere, and then my life will be over.
Dr. Mad Props said:i'm a little embarassed. i'm just around the median.
i am going to apply this summer. so i was thinking about the april test.
SxyMD said:Definitely retake.
You won't get into any decent school with those numbers, unless you've cured cancer or something.
Dr. Mad Props said:like i can cure cancer before i even go to med school.
seriously, sometimes i even mix up the scaphoid and the lunate.

SxyMD said:No wonder you screwed up the MCAT.

Dr. Mad Props said:you sound like you got your proximal phalanges stuck up your coccyx.
SxyMD said:Whatever. I'm not the one who has to retake the freakin MCAT.
Dr. Mad Props said:at least i don't have atopic dermatitis.
MedSchoolGirl! said:I want to know my score before I apply. (so I don't waste money on schools I have no chance of getting in to).
NapeSpikes said:Do NOT wait for August scores before submitting apps. Seriously. That's one of the biggest and most common mistakes in this game. If you're sticking with taking the August test and applying that same year, submit your amcas in June.
