I wish I wasn't closed out of todays. 🙁I retook the MCAT today and I'm so glad I did. I just wish I had today's test 6 weeks ago when I was more prepared. Did anyone else take it on May 27th and get rocked? Todays was SO much easier.
Awesome! Congrats! How long do you have to wait now until you get your scores? I took the very last paper and pencil MCAT so I don't really know exactly how it works these days.
It takes a month now. I had the joy of taking a p/p and a CBT, since my score was expired. 👎
I took the MCAT in april 2005. If I reviewed for a day and re-took, I wonder if I'd break 20. VR would still probably be 10-12. Bio 6-8, I'm guessing, and PS 3-5.

I was thoroughly content with today's exam, too. Lets hope the score is on par with the contentedness.
i hope i feel as good as you guys do about my retake. it's on 8/7, eeeek.

DAMN, if I had your verbalability, I'd score around 39-41 right now. F#4343@#@K,I took the MCAT in april 2005. If I reviewed for a day and re-took, I wonder if I'd break 20. VR would still probably be 10-12. Bio 6-8, I'm guessing, and PS 3-5.

speaking of verbal, wondering if you have any advice: i'm stuck at the 9/10 range, which led to a 9 on the last mcat. i'm having no trouble with timing or getting through the passages and the main idea ?s are always pretty smooth sailing. i always find 1 or 2 questions in each passage though, where i am down to 2 answers that i think are equally wrong, and i try to pick the lesser of the two evils and i get about half of those right and half wrong. is this just a matter of practice? anyone else can chime in here, it would really help if verbal would push up to an 11.

Practice, and making a conscious effort to focus on the passage you are reading. The key is to become fast, but not sloppy.speaking of verbal, wondering if you have any advice: i'm stuck at the 9/10 range, which led to a 9 on the last mcat. i'm having no trouble with timing or getting through the passages and the main idea ?s are always pretty smooth sailing. i always find 1 or 2 questions in each passage though, where i am down to 2 answers that i think are equally wrong, and i try to pick the lesser of the two evils and i get about half of those right and half wrong. is this just a matter of practice? anyone else can chime in here, it would really help if verbal would push up to an 11.
And don't skip around. Go from the beginning of the section to the end. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. I am right.

I second all of this. I went from 9/10 --> 12 by making sure I completed the ENTIRE section. I felt no need to take notes (wasting time) or highlight. Just pay conscious attention to main ideas and you should be able to find your answers quickly, when you need to come back to the passage. BTW you don't need to go back to the passage nearly as often if you're paying attention to the author's opinions/feelings (read: MAIN IDEAS). See TPR Verbal Reasoning and Audio Osmosis for some GREAT tips. 👍

You can also mark through answer choices you don't like.
I'm so-so on Friday's MCAT. It was very fair, which worries me now that I've had time to obsess about the questions and the possibility of a tight curve. I got sick around the last passage and a half of VR so I have no idea how I scored there because of those half dozen or so questions at the end (usually my highest scoring section too) or BS since I still wasn't feeling so hot when I got back to it. Hopefully, I scored within the range of my AAMC practice exams. I feel confident about it when I remember the questions so that should make the next month a tad bit more tolerable.
