MCAT score "shelf" life

Hi,
So i heard rumors that mcat score has a shelf life of 3 years...
Let say i took my first mcat in 2011 and now is 2014, would my score in 2011 still count?
Does any one know?

MCAT scores are officially valid by AAMC standards for 5 years.

However, each school has the right to only accept scores within a timeframe of their choosing. Refer to the MSAR or school website for this info.
