MCAT scores for multiple tests

Hey all-I have tried to do a search for this, but cannot find any info anywhere for DO schools, only MD. How do DO schools treat multiple MCAT scores? DO they average them, or take the higher of the 2? Do they just look at the upward trend, and thus take the higher? Any help would greatly appreciated!

There are a few ways they can do this (MD and DO)

1. Average and take the highest. I'm sorry to say that this is super rare. I've only heard of one MD school that did this and I don't think I've ever heard it about a DO.

2. Take the newest (heard this from several schools)

3. Take the highest (heard this from several schools as well)

It's a case by case basis, and I suggest calling the schools you are interested in and ask.

In addition to Jagger's post, there are some schools that take a composite score. In other words, they take the highest individual component of each section of your MCAT (i.e. 11V vs 9V) and sum them, giving you a composite score. Somewhere in the DO forums is a thread about what schools accept composite scores.

IIRC, NYCOM, OSUCOM? Maybe totally wrong, but I think they were on there and 1 more.
