Welp, slept a total of maybe 2 hours last night and am supposed to do a practice test today.

Should I....

A) Just take it anyways, because this is a possible situation that could happen the night before the actual MCAT

B) Wait until tomorrow so I can get a good night's sleep tonight, in case the lack of sleep causes me to get a low score today, thereby lowering my confidence (which has already been brought down due to recent practice tests)...

Wait. It is very unlikely that you will get only 2 hours of sleep night before mcat. Unless you have anxiety issues.

Unfortunately, I do have anxiety issues 🙁 So it may be very probable that I do not get much sleep the night before (despite being prescribed to xanax).
There have been times in college where I have done exceptionally well with little/no sleep (aced my organic chemistry cumulative final on 0 sleep)
I know the MCAT is an entirely different ball game though...

Yo, you're freaking out WAY too hard. This exam isn't everything.

Just go to bed at like.. 10pm at the latest the night before. I guarantee you'll pass the fk out.

In that case...avoid caffeine, avoid any sources of blue light, and have sex to fall asleep for 7-8. Do this for 3-4 weeks before mcat bc sleeping more suddenly will make you groggy and tired, but after you will notice an improvement in critical thinking and reasoning.

Take the practice test unless it's your very last AAMC one or something. If you don't already know how you function on long tests after lack of sleep, this will provide you with insight applicable to the MCAT and beyond.
