Hey guys! I've been doing some research and wanted to get your opinions on my study materials. I plan on taking the test on Jan 19th. I know it seems soon, but I've taken it before and I feel like 2 months of serious studying is probably good for me since I tend to burnout quicker with the 3 month strategy. Anyway, here's what I think I'm going to use, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

- EK content review books (easy read, quick)
- EK 1001 series (heard this is a staple?)
- Kaplan content review books (for stuff EK doesn't cover)
- TPR Psych & Soc (heard it's the best for this subject)
- AAMC question banks, practice tests
- NS practice tests
- Kaplan flash cards & quick review guide

If you've already taken it before, I would breeze through content review as quickly as you can and start doing practice FLs and passages as soon as you can. Khan Academy is also a good resource for B/BC and P/S sections - their practice passages, that is.

Thanks for the response! I was thinking of doing the same, but the issue is that it's been a good 6 months since I last looked at anything MCAT related... A lot of it is coming back as I start reading through EK again, but idk how much time I should spend on content now. You bring up a good point. Should 2 weeks be enough? Or even less?

What did you do poorly in? I mean you have your old scores so use EK to brush up on those topics you're weak on! Do 3-5 CARS a day, and practice on your FL's! Also why Jan? You'll get your test scores back at the end of Feb.... Then what? Why not April? Get your test back in May when applications open... Just a thought!

I did the worst in Psych & Soc... The other 3 subjects weren't fantastic, but just equally bad. I don't think I prepared appropriately the first time- I didn't know how intensely I needed to go over my practice exams and I wasn't using all the right resources. I wanted to test in Jan because if I do poorly in May again, then I won't have time to re-think of whether I want to retake or postpone another year. Please let me know if you deem this as sound logic!
