Hey yall

I have my MCAT scheduled for July 26th. How late is this in the cycle and what score do I need to be competitive for MD schools specifically?

(Rest of my application is solid: 3.88 GPA have 2k hours of clinical, 1k hours of community volunteer, 2 published research papers, and good LOR)

You may not receive a result until almost September.
It is not possible to craft a list of schools and thoughtfully respond to secondaries starting in Sept. You would a different list for for each presumptive MCAT score.
If you pre-write all possible secondaries and apply early (July) to a throwaway school and have a strong application in every way, you could find success, though.

A competitive MCAT varies dramatically by state of residence.
