im interested in hearing some thoughts on a private mcat tutor. Has anyone used one before?

It really depends on how credible that tutor is. I have one who's helped several for several years and I know others who've been helped by him. Check with other's who've had him. Don't wanna waste your money with someone who's teaching technique doesn't work for you. That's my experience so far.

I wouldn't reccomend it...just get a good review tool like AudioOsmosis and/or maybe the EK study package --> take notes on the salient points of the material once through....read all your notes over a second or third time...and then finally just practice practice practice

A lot of this needs to be done yourself, a tutor can only do so much
