MCAT update during app cycle

I have submitted my application early but I have my sights set on an MCAT retake in Jan 2015.

I am applying with a decent score but a better score would really help me out. I believe from now till Jan will give me enough time to prep. So my question is, can you update schools with a new MCAT score in Feb? Or is that too late to matter?

Some schools specify the latest MCAT they will accept for a given cycle. I recall seeing a school's website recently where it was specified that the latest MCAT that would be considered would be September 2014.

Looking at MSAR, most schools will not accept any MCAT after September.
