So, I am pushing my graduation for December of 2017. I wanted to take the MCAT early this summer (like May or something), so I can get my results by June and I am also planning to apply for Medical school by July. Should I wait for 2018 to apply, so you guys think I should go with my original plan of applying by July 2017. I am just so ready to get this thing done. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks ya'll.

The standard advice is that if you can get the app complete by Labor Day (MCAT results not just taken, transcripts verified, LORs submitted, PS written plus needed volunteer work/shadowing done) then you're ok. @Goro @gonnif @gyngyn have more experience than I but that is what I've got from their prior answers to others.

Study and take MCAT then finish your PS and start AMCAS app process while waiting for score. Good luck!

A May MCAT can work.
Just don't apply to to more than one school until you know your results.
And don't apply to a school that you care about while you are waiting (pre-writing secondaries...).

I could be wrong, but I think you'll be fine. Take it when you're ready to crush it! August would be pushing it but I think July is fine
