MCATs less than 30 with NO interviews?

I know there's a thread for people with MCATs less than 25 with interviews, but I'm wondering how many people are in the same boat as me. I have a 29 O MCAT, and have NO interviews to date. I applied to 12 schools, app complete at 8, and I haven't heard a thing. I though my scores and app were worthy of at least one interview, but apparently not. Is there any hope?

Since only 8 of your applications are complete, I'm guessing you applied late? If that's the case, schools will just respond to you a little later. You may want to call the schools that have been complete for a while for a status check.

My GPA was 3.6 overall, 3.4 science. (my last two years of school were 4.0) Due to some miscommunications, etc, my app was complete at 8 schools, and dropped at two schools. All my apps were complete in November. Two of the schools I never got secondaries to. I have been working as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory for 3+ years, and have great recs. I've been keeping tabs on SDN, and many people who have had apps complete at the same time as me or even later have interviews. In addition, I haven't heard from my state school which I should (theoretically) have a better than average shot at. All I can think is that there was some mystery thing in my app that really turned adcoms off.

Well Oregon lab rat, I have similar stats as you. So far, I have only had one interview and have 1 more scheduled in March. I applied to 19 schools, and I have heard from 5 - 3 rejections, 2 interviews. I have not heard anything from my 3 FL schools, although I expected to. So, just wait a little longer to hear something...since you didn't apply to that many schools, the probability of hearing from them is lower....I wish you the best of luck

i'm in the same boat foxy..haven't heard a thing from the three florida schools. weren't they supposed to be our best chances?

Oregonlabrat, that thread where jalbrekt was mocking you has mysteriously disappeared. does he have the power to remove a thread without being an administrator? he's been getting pretty rude lately..maybe he doesn't realize that 8 interviews but no acceptances YET is nothing to be stressed about. how the HELL are you not gonna get in anywhere with that many chances? relax jalbrekt..stop mocking people that need support right now.

I think you can delete a thread if you're the OP and just hit the "edit" button and then "delete post". ALthough i'm not sure and have never done it, that's one way. Another idea is maybe an admin deleted it anyway. --Trek

Sorry about that. I just happened to look at the threads on he main board and saw a few of almost the same thing, so I thaught I would do one of my own. I only realized how insulting it was a few minutes after I wrote it, and since I created it, I actually can destory it. Trust me, I've been through that before. I appled to 37 schools two years ago and didn't get a single interview invite. I've been counting down since the motnhs I'd be in school since number 23. Sorry to insult anyone.

well, i've deleted posts before but deleting the whole thread is tougher. there's a delete button all the way at the bottom of every screen, but when i cllick it (even if i started a thread) it says i can't do it.
