MCC sudden deat of Marfan

Alright, so Goljan says that if pt with marfan dies suddenly, this is due to MVP and conduction defects (not dissecting aortic aneurysm).

But I find it hard to believe this. Isn't MVP more likely to be a chronic condition? I would say MVP can be critical with HTN pts, but it's hard to believe MVP is likely cause for the sudden death of Marfan dz.

few things
1) some stuff goljan says in the audio is wrong [he is human and he makes mistakes; the wrong stuff is few and far between]
2) MCC of death in general for marfans is aortic dissection
3)mcc of SUDDEN death for marfans is MVP due to conduction defect [tho this can be debatable]
So onset is an issue
-general= aortic dissection
-sudden= MVP
