fizzbot said:Hi future classmates,
This is kinda random, but does anyone know how to actually recieve your student loans? I just want to take out the 8000 subsidized loans that I qualified for but I haven't dealt with student loans before and I don't know how to do it. Do I just walk into the Student Aid office when we get down there for orientation? Is there a deadline? (if so when?). Sorry to ask all of you but the FA office has been very busy and hasn't returned my calls.
Enjoy our last week of freedom,
Fizzbot
The Registrar's office or Cashier's Office will use that check to pay for whatever tuition and fees you have during the fall semester. Whatever is left over will be waiting for you in your mailbox. The $8000 will be dispersed as 2 checks during your 1st year, so in actuality you will start off with $4000 and the cashier's office will start deducting from there. Be careful, because $4000 will not be enough to pay for tuition and fees unless you have other awards. You may have to write a check for the remaining amount and that will be due within the first few days classes start. Don't miss that deadline.
